On 22 and 23 September 2024, the UN General Assembly will meet for the so-called Future Summit. The UN Pact for the Future is to be adopted. The declared aim is to better prepare the world for current and future challenges in the service of humanity and future generations.

As beautiful as these words are, their consequences are inhumane: the UN Pact for the Future threatens worse human rights violations than during corona. The UN is being given far-reaching powers to respond to “global shocks” in a standardised manner. In concrete terms, this means that the UN will now rule the world and the democratic right of peoples to have a say, the right to self-determination, will be abolished. The end of nation-state sovereignty is looming.
